What is astrology?
Astrology explores the symbolic relationship between the sky and human life. A birth chart is a map of where the Sun, Moon and planets appeared from Earth at the moment and place of your birth.
Your chart is not a verdict. It is better understood as a collection of themes, tendencies and possibilities. Two people with similar placements can still live very different lives because family, culture, choices, experience and circumstance all matter.

Aspects describe the geometric relationships between planets in a birth chart. They are often interpreted as ways different parts of your personality cooperate, challenge or stimulate each other.
Flowing aspects
Trines and sextiles are often associated with ease, natural ability and areas where energy tends to move more smoothly.
Challenging aspects
Squares and oppositions may describe tension, conflict or developmental pressure that can become a source of strength.
Conjunctions
A conjunction occurs when planets appear close together. Their themes may become strongly blended or intensified.
A COMMON QUESTION
What does retrograde mean?
A planet appears retrograde when it seems to move backward across the sky from Earth's perspective. The planet is not physically reversing direction. It is an apparent motion created by the relative movement of Earth and the other planet.
Astrologically, retrograde periods are often associated with review, reconsideration, delays, revision or turning attention inward. They do not guarantee that something will go wrong.
