About
Making the things we learn about ourselves easier to understand.
Stardust Self brings together thoughtful education, practical tools, lived understanding and years of learning to help make complicated human experiences feel a little easier to navigate.

So much of what we struggle with makes more sense when we understand what sits underneath it.
We are often taught how to work, achieve, care for other people and keep going.
We are not always taught how to understand our own nervous system, recognise our needs, notice repeating patterns, navigate difficult relationships or make sense of the experiences that have shaped us.
Stardust Self was created to make those conversations easier to understand — without requiring people to become experts first.
Sometimes the behaviour is only the visible part of the story.
What looks like a habit, personality trait or reaction may also be connected to what someone learned about safety, belonging, expectations, relationships or coping.
Understanding the pattern creates more choice about what happens next.
A letter from Lyndall
Stardust Self came from something I kept thinking about: why do so many of us reach adulthood without understanding some of the most important things about ourselves?
We learn how to work, achieve, care for other people and keep going. But many of us were never taught how to understand our patterns, recognise when we are overwhelmed, know what we need, set boundaries, navigate difficult relationships or make sense of the ways our experiences have shaped us.
I have spent decades working in complex professional environments, solving problems, bringing people and information together and turning complicated ideas into practical ways forward.
Along the way, I have also spent years reading, researching, listening, learning from professionals and trying to better understand the things that affect all of us as human beings.
Some of that learning came through professional experience. Some came through caring for others. And some came because life gave me reasons to go looking for answers myself.
Eventually, I realised I had accumulated something I wanted to share.
Not because I have all the answers. I don't.
But I have learned an enormous amount over the years, and I know how different something can feel when it is finally explained in a way that makes sense.
That's why I created Stardust Self.
I wanted to build the kind of place I wish existed years ago: somewhere you can learn about yourself without feeling judged, find practical tools when you don't know what to do next and explore complicated ideas in ordinary language.
You do not have to believe everything you read here. You do not have to fit neatly into a label or follow one particular path.
I hope Stardust Self helps you become curious, gives you useful information and helps you trust yourself enough to decide what is right for you.
If something I have learned over all these years can make another person's path a little easier, then sharing it matters.
Experience in making complicated things understandable.
Stardust Self is not built on one course, one theory or one personal experience. It reflects decades of professional work, extensive learning and a long-standing habit of asking difficult questions and looking for practical answers.

Experience within health and government policy environments
Her professional background has included work within health organisations and government policy settings where complex human needs sit alongside systems, services and policy.
Cross-agency work supporting mental-health services
Earlier in her career, Lyndall contributed to complex cross-agency mental-health work involving government, community and service stakeholders, resulting in work that was formally approved and published by government.
Author of Stardust to Self
The book explores patterns, healing, self-understanding and many of the ideas that later grew into the wider Stardust Self experience.
Years of independent research and learning
Stardust Self continues to evolve through extensive reading, research, conversations with professionals, lived understanding and a commitment to making useful ideas accessible.
Theory matters. But it has to be useful in real life.
Stardust Self takes ideas from psychology, nervous-system education, behaviour, relationships, wellbeing and lived understanding and translates them into clearer explanations, reflective experiences and practical tools.
The aim is not to tell people what to think. It is to provide enough information to help people understand what may be happening and make more informed choices for themselves.
Understand
Make complicated ideas easier to recognise.
Reflect
Notice what fits your own experience.
Use it
Turn insight into something practical.
Arrive · Remember · Return
You do not have to rebuild yourself from the beginning. Sometimes the work is about arriving where you are, remembering what matters and finding your way back to yourself.
Arrive
Notice where you are now — your body, capacity, circumstances, emotions and immediate needs.
Remember
Reconnect with what matters to you, what you know about yourself and what may have been lost beneath coping, expectations or survival.
Return
Take that understanding back into your choices, relationships, work and everyday life.

The values behind Stardust Self
Curiosity before judgement
Ask what may sit underneath a response before deciding what it means.
Compassion with honesty
Understanding ourselves does not require pretending everything is comfortable or acceptable.
Practical usefulness
Information becomes more valuable when people can do something meaningful with it.
Choice and agency
Stardust Self offers perspectives and tools. You decide what fits your life.
Stardust Self
The elements that make up our bodies were formed through processes that began within ancient stars.
Life then layers on experiences, roles, coping strategies, expectations and stories about who we should be.
Stardust Self is about understanding those layers without losing sight of the person underneath them.
You don't need to understand everything today.
Choose the part of Stardust Self that feels most relevant and begin there.
