Strengths Explorer
Some strengths are so natural that we stop noticing them. This explorer helps you recognise the ways you think, relate, adapt, create, solve problems and help things move forward.
Question 1 of 24
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Give yourself a moment to settle
You do not need to feel perfectly calm. You will usually get a clearer result if you are not rushing or already overwhelmed. If you can, make a cup of tea, get comfortable, notice the room around you and take a few slow breaths.
Choose what feels true for you — not what you think you should be good at.
WHAT COUNTS AS A STRENGTH?
Strength is more than being talented at something.
A strength can be a way you think, understand people, solve problems, respond to change, imagine possibilities or turn ideas into action. There are no ideal results and no single “best” strength profile.
QUESTION 1
How much does this sound like you? Choose the response that feels most true.

LEARN THE PROPER TERMS
Words you may hear
We use everyday language first. These are some terms you may come across in coaching, psychology, workplaces or strengths-based resources.
Strength: a capacity, quality or way of functioning that can help you think, relate, respond or contribute effectively.
Strengths-based approach: focusing on existing capabilities and resources rather than only on problems or deficits.
Transferable strength: a strength that can be useful across different roles, environments or situations.
Overused strength: a useful strength used so intensely or frequently that it begins to create strain or unintended problems.
Underused strength: a capacity you have but may not currently have enough opportunity, confidence or energy to use.
Capacity: how much physical, mental or emotional energy you have available at a particular time.

A USEFUL REMINDER
A strength does not have to be available all the time.
Stress, burnout, health, environment and life circumstances can all affect how easily you can access your strengths. A lower score does not mean something is missing from you.
This tool supports personal reflection and self-awareness. It is not a psychological assessment, diagnosis or measure of your worth, intelligence or future potential.
